How to use HomeChoice

       

Logon  Using HomeChoice is simple. All you need to do is click on login and enter your Registration Number and the Date of Birth of the first person on your application.  If you do not have this information please contact us.

View Properties Once you have entered your details you will be able to view the property information and decide whether you would like to bid.  If you see a property that you like, check that you are eligible (you will not be able to bid for properties that you are not eligible for.  For example you will not be able to apply for a 3 bedroom property if your household only needs 1 bedroom).

Bid For Properties If you are eligible and you are still interested in the property just click on ‘apply now’ and you will be given an indication of your position for that property.  Your position will be at the time of bidding and is likely to change as other applicants place their bids. However you can check your position at any time simply by logging on. Although website bidding closes at midnight on Sunday, staff will process any e-mail or manual bids on a Monday morning so your position may change up until midday on Monday. There is no limit on the number of properties you can bid for.

Withdraw A Bid If you change your mind and no longer wish to be considered for a property all you need to do is log in and click the 'withdraw' button next to the bid you wish to withdraw

Property Withdrawal Please note that properties are sometimes withdrawn from the Choice Based Lettings system if they are needed for an urgent (Band 1) case, if you are in position 1 for a property you will be informed if this happens.
