Applicant

A person or household on the Housing Register waiting for an alternative home

Assured Tenancy

Band

The group that applicants are placed in on the Housing Register according to their circumstances

Bid 

Expression of interest in a property advertised

CBL

'Choice Based Lettings'. Properties are advertised and eligible applicants can choose whether to place bids for them

Decant

Tenants who are currently living in council accommodation and need to move because their home is due to be demolished

Effective Date

The Priority Date awarded to an application

Introductory Tenancy

Letting Standard

The minimum standard or condition of properties that are available for letting

Offer

When an applicant has successfully bid and has been matched to a property

PIN
 

Personal Identification Number. On this website the PIN is a memorable date which you can change yourself when you are logged in

Priority

The order in which applicants are considered for properties

Registration No.

The number given to each Housing Application on the Housing Waiting List

RSL

Registered Social Landlord, also known as a Housing Association who provides social rented accommodation

Secure Tenancy

Shortlist

A list of applicants who have bid for a property 

Transfer

Tenants of the Council or Housing Associations who want to move to another home

Withdrawn

The property is no longer available for letting through CBL.  Either because it has been used for a Band 1 or 3 Applicant
